Is God too Busy for You?

Psalm 147:4-5,
He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.

Last week I was talking with someone who made mention that she didn’t want to bother God with “the little things in her life or marriage.  With all the things going on in the world, He has more important things to deal with than my little requests.”

My heart winced.  Before I could stop her and gently sprinkle Truth into her thinking, she went on to a different subject.   (Of course this distracted me and I forgot:))   Leaving this event, the Lord brought her comment back to my mind.   I have a feeling more people than not may think this way.

But this is not the God of the Bible.   In fact, as I read my Bible, it tells me:

That God is El Roi- The God who sees me.  Genesis 16:13 says, She, [Hagar] gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me, for I have now seen the One Who sees me.”

It tells me:  “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry.”  Psalm 34:15

It says: “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”  Psalm 34:17

It also says, “But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those who hope in HIs unfailing love.”  Psalm 33:18

AND, “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.”  2 Chronicles 16:9

Do you hold back taking everything to God because you think He’s too busy running the rest of the world?

If this is you, I pray He’ll open your eyes afresh to see that He’s willing to be intimately involved in every detail of your life.  Bring to Him today the big and the little things.  Allow Him to be intimately involved in your life!  For the Word says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”  1 Peter 5:7
